Starting a podcast isn’t hard.

When we first started podcasting over a year ago, we recorded and published our first episode using nothing but a dying 2011 Macbook Pro laptop. It only took the click of a few buttons. The sound quality was okay (not great), the content was also just okay (not great), and the results were, you guessed it, okay not great.
Fast forward to today. We now have what we’d consider a thriving podcast that sounds professional, gets thousands of listens per month, and has a large and growing community of supportive fans.

The truth is we spent hours digging through tons of online articles and YouTube videos to figure stuff out. It was hard work. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears (and late nights) but after a while, our episodes started sounding pretty good!
But more than the sound change, there was a mindset change.
Once we made that change and gave it time, we saw that each week more and more people started listening — and a community started to grow.
So yes, starting a podcast isn’t all that hard. Almost anyone can launch their first episode thanks to technology and easy-to-use apps have made podcasting even more accessible.

We'll spend two weeks in intensive classes and workshops focused on turning your podcast Pro and help you position it to Grow:
There will be a total of 8 hours of live, interactive classes (broken into 4 evening sessions, 2 hours per session).
We’ll walk you through everything in detail that you need to know about starting a podcast, from recording and editing your first episode and improving it over time, to effectively promoting your podcast so that you grow your audience and reach more fans.
Each of the classes will have practical assignments where you’ll get to practice on your own and get feedback from us (and the community!)
The assignments will look like:
— Record an intro to your podcast
— Create your ideal episode arch
— Make a podcast image

June 1 - December 31, 2020 (Six Months)
We will spend 6 months delivering ongoing support and fostering peer-accountability.
Two times per month, we will host an open office hour. You’ll get to stop by, ask questions, check-in, and get direct support from us and the community. If you're not free during the office hours window you can send in your questions!
Each month we'll host a private interview session and training with an expert in a podcast-adjacent field (i.e. email marketing, SEO, content strategy, advertising, monetization, and video production).
As a founding member, you'll get lifetime access to “The Making It Podcasting Community” group on Facebook. This group will be where you and the community will connect between the office hours and the live trainings.
